ALBERT N. & HATTIE M. McCLURE FUND

This application process has no deadline date. The organization will be notified if an award has/has not been made within 60 days.

The Greater New Orleans Foundation would like to remind agencies of United Way that they are eligible to apply for grants from the Albert N. & Hattie M. McClure Fund held at the Greater New Orleans Foundation.

The McClure Fund was established in 1963 to provide for "major repairs, replacements and additions to facilities operated by the United Way for the Greater New Orleans Area member agencies." The intent of the McClure Fund is to fill the funding gap between major capital expenses requiring a capital fund drive and minor capital needs which can be planned for and included in an agency's annual operating budget. Because of the limited nature of these funds, priority consideration will be given to those requests that are capital, in nature, and respond to a crisis and/or emergency. The guidelines and priorities were affirmed at the Council of United Way Agencies on October 6, 2004. The Greater New Orleans Foundation will consider grant requests up to $15,000.00.
