Alyssa Quaranta
Sr. Program Associate for Environmental Programs
Alyssa Quaranta is the Senior Program Associate for Environmental Programs and brings a passion for partnering with community members in the Greater New Orleans region to improve their resilience and outcomes in the face of a changing climate. With nearly ten years of experience as an English teacher in New Orleans, Alyssa developed a passion for understanding the intricate relationship between communities and their environments. Motivated by this interest, Alyssa pursued a Master of Science in Disaster Resilience at Tulane University, where she deepened her knowledge of environmental impacts and community dynamics. Prior to joining the Greater New Orleans Foundation, she worked with Team Rubicon developing programs and policies to enhance disaster response and preparedness efforts both domestically and internationally and with the New Orleans Child Advocacy Center as a Forensic Interviewer. Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys live music, good food, and travelling to new places.
