Charla Smith

Charla, a native of New Orleans, joined the Foundation in April of 2018. In her role as Staff Accountant, Charla is responsible for the Foundation’s budget reporting, grant processing, managing the Foundation’s relationship with its vendors through the accounts payable process, and various other accounting responsibilities. Charla received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from the University of Phoenix, where she is an active member of the UOPX Alumni Program.

Charla spent most of her accounting career in the private sector and is an adventurer at heart but also relishes in New Orleans’ vibrant arts and festival culture. She is also the owner of The BodyShop Fitness and Boxing located in Marrero, LA.
