Pamela Otibu
Development Officer
Pamela Otibu serves as Development Officer, cultivating relationships with corporate and institutional donors to advance the Foundation’s mission through strategic fundraising, special initiatives, and grantmaking efforts.
Prior to this role, she was the Corporate and Foundations Relations Officer at Xavier University, supporting fund campaigns, special projects, and grants. Before that, she served as Development Manager at the Louisiana Children’s Museum, leading giving campaigns and donor engagement efforts. She has also worked as a development consultant for local nonprofits.
Pamela previously held the Director of Communications and Community Engagement role at the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce before pursuing her graduate degree. She earned her bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Sarah Lawrence College, concentrating in Art, History, and Literature. She holds a master’s in arts administration from the University of New Orleans.
Deeply committed to community engagement, Pamela has served on the Upturn Arts board and graduated from the Committee for a Better New Orleans’ Bryan Bell Metropolitan Leadership Forum. She is also a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater New Orleans Chapter.
Originally from Ghana and raised in Brooklyn, Pamela has called New Orleans home since 2017. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys gardening, cooking, dancing, and creating self-care potions.
