Grants are awarded at the rate of one per rolling calendar year regardless of the hardship. Awards are not granted based solely on an individual’s involvement in a disaster or without regard to meeting the individual’s particular distress or financial needs. Awards are not guaranteed, even if the criteria are met and a recommendation is made by the Committee. Rather, awards shall be made solely in the discretion of the Foundation, and at all times are subject to funds being available in the Fund.
Applications are strictly confidential. Grants made from the fund are gifts, not loans, and are not required to be repaid.
The Boh Bros. Employee Assistance Fund accepts only electronic application submissions through the Foundation’s online portal. If you need assistance, please email assistance@gnof.org.
The Greater New Orleans Foundation’s technology partner, Foundant, has created a brief tutorial for applicants that may be viewed here. It is highly recommended that all applicants review this video before beginning a new application in order to better understand the electronic submission process. Proposals that are not submitted electronically may not be considered.
