The Dorothy Bratsas scholarship was established by the generosity of the late Dr. Dorothy Bratsas. This scholarship intends to assist female students who attended high school in the Greater New Orleans region who plan to continue their education in college.

Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or national origin.
Eligibility
Applicants to the Dorothy Bratsas Scholarship Fund must be:
- A female high school senior, high school graduate or current undergraduate, who attended high school in Orleans Parish, Metairie or Kenner.
- Planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year.
- Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).
